In his will which was dated 3 April, 1528, and proved 21 April, of that year, he directs that he shall be buried in the parish church of St. John Baptist, in Hillmorton; refers to lands and tenements in Hillmorton and Lilborne; and mentions:
Thomas Clerke and Alys "my wife," executors; Henry "my son," Jone & Jelyan, "my daughters." George Cabe & Richard Smyth, Supervisors; Sir John Grendon, Vicar of Hillmorton; Sir John Stooks, Sir Thomas Bolland, William Bayle, Ric. Horne, John Cumpton, Roger Jones, Witnesses.
The will was proved at Lichfield, by Thomas Clarke, with "power reserved for Alys the relict."
