William
Rainsford who held the Manor of Alpheton, Co. Sussex, under John
of Gaunt
about 1380, and was brother or cousin of John of Rainsford who,
in 1391,
held Rainsford Manor in Lancastershire and had in 1386 bourne
arms as a
gentleman with John of Gaunt.
